Foundation of the Italian Club. Already in de sixties there were some Leonbergers in Italy. It was the family Bonanzola who brought the breed to Italy, but the breed never expanded that much. But there was a revival, so now there was the time to found a club. Chairman is the very active Guido Perosini. The foundation was celebrated with the first club show in combination with the big Expo of Bellagio. 48 Leonbergers were entered and 44 were present. The judge was Alexander prince v.
